Dear Friends,

I like to play with words. 

When I say "Thank you" and another person says "You're welcome" I think of the words as this: "[It's] your WELL, Come [enjoy]!" 

When I see the phrase Day of “Atonement” I think “at-ONE-ment.” 

When I see the word “holiday” I think it derives from “holy day” and when I see “holy day” I think it is missing a “W” in front of it and that it actually reads “Whole-y-day” – a day of experiencing wholeness. 

We are entering the new Jewish month of Heshvan…

 

Sometimes the joy of life flows so effortlessly.  Here we were on a summer night in late August winding our way with our new harmonicas with no plan, just hanging out, and the music just showed up.  It's warm on this front porch step.  I can hear the creek whispering "Oh, yes."

"The Phoenix"

It was July-Fourth weekend, and I arrived in the rain.  I came to the Omega Institute for a songwriting workshop.  It was there that I met the man who triggered one of my most profound personal experiences. His name is David Wilcox.  We arrived late in the evening and gathered together, the forty of us, in a circular wooden room with the screened windows.  As we sat on pillows in a circle, we could hear the warm summer rain outside.
